This is a very difficult story for me, and I’m really hoping for your help. Maksik is my little house kitten - quiet, trusting, and very affectionate. He never wandered far from home and was always nearby.

That evening he came back barely alive - he was literally dragging his legs, crying loudly, and trying to get inside. I couldn’t even touch him because he would start screaming from the pain, but somehow I managed to carry him into the house.
Since it was already night, I couldn’t take him to a clinic, and all the ‘24/7’ veterinarians I found online weren’t answering their phones. The whole night he lay in the bathroom on a towel. From time to time he whimpered and cried from pain, then fell silent, and then started again. These sounds are impossible to forget. God, it was unbearable to hear such severe suffering…
As the night went on, he became quieter, only occasionally letting out a weak, sorrowful meow. In the morning, when I picked him up to take him to the clinic, he couldn’t even meow properly anymore.

The vets examined him, did an ultrasound and X-ray, and said his injuries are very serious: a liver hematoma, a complicated leg fracture, and suspected internal damage.

They said such injuries are typical either of being hit by a car or from deliberate abuse. Whatever the cause, the fact remains - Maksik urgently needs surgery, otherwise he may never regain his mobility.

He is now in the clinic under observation. His condition is severe but stable. The vets are giving hope, but he needs treatment, surgery, and postoperative rehabilitation.

Financially, this is extremely difficult for me. That’s why I’m asking for help from anyone who can support us. Any amount - no matter how small - is a contribution toward saving a tiny life that now depends entirely on people.
